I was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire. When I was 9 years old I cared for my grandma. Grandma lived in a back to back terraced house, surrounded by elderly neighbours. While caring for my grandma, I would also call in to neighbours to ask if they required any shopping, or did they want a cup of tea. They did not need to lock their doors, and would leave them on the latch, so I could call in to see them each day. I was very grown up for my age.
My career path has been to care for children and older people. I trained as a nurse. This gave me a lot of experience. I have always kept up to date with my knowledge which has provided me with the various skills to support people from birth to end of life.
