Activities

The activities I provide can stimulate previous memories encourage people to go out into the community and meet other people.

Some customers I have supported have met people who become friends.

This has occurred when they met through a sharing of a hobby that they once enjoyed.

This has then led on to joining other groups.

For people who live in a care home, I can visit on a one to one basis. This is for those unable to attend a group session.

For residents who would like to attend, they can enjoy a session where they can communicate with each other, bringing a sense of togetherness, confidence and self worth.

Each session is organised to be achieved with laughter and dignity to every person.

I have a large selection of items that promote reminiscing as part of an activity.

This can be brought to a care home or a person’s own home.

A replica of a 1950’s Co-Op shop, with items that are sensory and stimulate past memories.

Activities that I have devised are all person centred, and over time I gather enough information to be able to produce resources that emulate a person’s past hobbies, interests and former employment.
